أعلن المجلس الوطنى تضامنه مع الناشط علاء سيف عبدالفتاح، منتقداً إحالته إلى النيابة العسكرية، ثم القضاء العسكرى، وشدد المجلس على رفضه إحالة المدنيين إلى محاكم عسكرية. وأكد المجلس، فى بيان له، تضامنه أيضاً مع رفض علاء التعاون مع المحققين العسكريين لافتقاد الحيدة، وغياب الضمانات القانونية والإنسانية لمحاكمته، مستنكراً الإجراءات التى اتخذت ضده وضد غيره من المواطنين.
وأوضح المجلس فى بيانه أن إصدار المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة قراراً بتحويل النشطاء الوطنيين إلى النيابة العسكرية والقضاء العسكرى، يعوق وجود علاقة صحية وسليمة بينه وبين المواطنين. كما أكد قيادات المجلس الوطنى على حق علاء وغيره من المواطنين فى المثول أمام قاض طبيعى.

A military court adjourned the trial of blogger Maikel Nabil until 13 November on Tuesday upon the request of the defendant’s court-appointed lawyer. The adjournment was granted so four witnesses, including Osama El-Ghazli Harb, chairman of the Democratic Front Party and journalist Rasha Azab, could attend the court.

Monaco, 7 October 2011:The winners of the 2011 edition of the ‘Anna Lindh Mediterranean Journalist Award’ were presented today by Prince Albert II and the International Award Jury at a ceremony taking place in the Principality of Monaco and bringing together media and civil society from across the two shores of the Mediterranean region.
Among the prize-receivers, Asmaa El Ghoul – Palestinian blogger and writer from Gaza - was awarded commitment to freedom of expression and her courage in facing repression, while Mohamed El-Dahshan – Egyptian writer who was at the forefront of the Egyptian revolution-was awarded for his exceptional writings on social change in Egypt published in many international publications, and which made the voice of young Egyptian activists heard all over the world.

أعلن القائمون على جائزة الصحفية الروسية والناشطة في ميدان حقوق الإنسان أنا بوليتكوفسكايا، الجمعة عن منح الجائزة، في الذكرى الخامسة لمقتل الصحفية هذا العام، للناشطة السورية رزان زيتونة. ونقلت وكالة الأنباء الروسية (نوفوستي) عن اللجنة قولها إن اختيار زيتونة البالغة من العمر 34 عاماً "يعود لما عانته من تخفٍ ومعاناة بعد أن اتهمتها السلطات في سوريا بالتجسس للغرب، وذلك على خلفية مقالات كتبتها ونشرتها على صفحات الإنترنت حول بشاعة العنف الممارس ضد المحتجين في البلاد".
وتحوّل الموقع الإلكتروني لرزان واسمه (شيريل) إلى أحد المصادر الأساسية للأخبار حول ما يدور من أحداث وقمع للمظاهرات في سوريا، بعد أن حظرت السلطة على وسائل الإعلام الأجنبية الوصول إلى ساحات الأحداث.

أبدت الشبكة العربية قلقها بعد منع المدون اللبنانى ''عماد بزى'' من دخول القاهرة وترحليه بطلب من جهات أمنية بدعوى وجود اسمه بقوائم الممنوعين من دخول البلاد. من جانبها قالت الشبكة العربية لمعلومات حقوق الإنسان :''إن منع مدون وصاحب رأى من دخول مصر بعد الثورة يمثل انتكاسة خطيرة لحرية الرأي والتعبير ويعود بمصر إلى سياسات نظام الرئيس المخلوع الذى كان يقمع الحريات''.

بدورها طالبت الشبكة بتفسير واضح لما حدث بمطار القاهرة أمس الاثنين من ترحيل ''بزي''بعد ساعات من وصوله لمطار القاهرة الدولي وفتح تحقيق جدى يكشف ملابسات ما حدث وأسباب هذا المنع بجانب التوقف عن سياسات الدول الاستبدادية.

اعلن رئيس الوزراء الجزائري احمد اويحيى ان قانون الاعلام الجديد سيسمح بانشاء محطات تلفزيونية واذاعية خاصة ويضع حدا بالتالي لقرابة نصف قرن من احتكار الدولة للقطاع السمعي البصري في الجزائر، بحسب الصحف الصادرة الاثنين.
وقال رئيس الوزراء الجزائري بخصوص المشروع التمهيدي لقانون الاعلام الجديد " للمرة الأولى سيكون لنا تشريع يتحدث عن تفتح وسائل الاعلام الثقيلة". ويقصد بالوسائل الاعلام الثقيلة الاذاعة والتلفزيون.

Today marks the 100th day since the protest movement found its foothold in Syria. A 100 days later, more than 1,400 deaths, and three presidential speeches, the protest movement is still in full force. This Friday is being billed “friday of delegitimization”.
To mark this day bloggers from Syria and elsewhere started a blogging and Twitter campaign called “Blogging Day for Syria”. The campaign called on every blogger to post his article with the hashtag #Blog4Syria. Here are a selection of these

تناولت المدونات العربية خلال الأيام الماضية مجموعة من القضايا، بينها الجدل في تونس حول فيلم "لا ربي لا سيدي". والقلق من "تجاوزات" منسوبة للثوار في المناطق التي يخضع لهم في ليبيا، علاوة على حالة مريض نفسي رفض مغادرة حافلة في مصر قبل حضور المشير محمد حسين طنطاوي، بالإضافة إلى انتقاد التطرف في الرأي في المجتمع السعودي عبر شخصية "المستقل المتطرف" الجديرة بالانتقاد وفق مدونات سعودية.

The uprisings in the Arab World have changed the Western political landscape dramatically. While the outcome of the changes is not yet clear, the general consent is that the media – particularly social media – has played a pivotal role in mobilizing the masses and bringing down authoritarian rulers.  Revolutions are not produced by the media. However, recent events in North Africa and the Middle East have illustrated that digital applications such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others have become decisive tools of political empowerment and mass mobilization.
