للعام الثانى على التوالى، توجت صحيفة اليوم السابع بالمركز الأول على رأس الصحافة العربية الأكثر تأثيراً على شبكة الإنترنت، وفقاً للنتيجة التى أعلنتها اليوم مجلة "فوربس الشرق الأوسط"، خلال الحفل الذى أقيم اليوم بمدينة دبى بالإمارات العربية المتحدة، حيث تم تكريم الدكتور وليد مصطفى رئيس مجلس إدارة اليوم السابع خلال حفل كبير أقامته فوربس الشرق الأوسط، وسط حضور عدد من السفراء والدبلوماسيين، ونخبة من كبار الإعلاميين، ورؤساء تحرير الصحف العربية، إضافة إلى شخصياتٍ مرموقةٍ فى عالم المال والأعمال.

MENA ad spend to drop by 12.1% in 2011, due to political unrest

According to Reuters, ZenithOptimedia has said that ad spending in the Middle East and Africa (MENA) is set to decline. This is due to political unrest, as ad spend is set to drop by 12.1% this year. Accordingly, ZenithOptimedia reduced its global forecast of advertising this year, saying that ad spend will grow 4.1% to $471bn, from the 4.2% previously predicted.
The global advertising market is still expected to return to pre-recession levels this year, despite Europe's debt crisis and economic uncertainty slowing demand in the US and Europe.
