One question many seem to be wondering about Twitter: is this duck a media or technology company?
In a meeting at The New York Times offices in New York, Dick Costolo, the chief executive officer of Twitter, said that Twitter is some variation of both. “I think of the company as a technology company that is in the media business,” Mr. Costolo told a room full of editors and reporters. “Our business is an advertising business, we don’t sell technology.”

أقسم المستشار حاتم بجاتو، الأمين العام للجنة العليا للانتخابات الرئاسية، أنه علم بنتيجة الانتخابات لأول مرة في تمام الساعة السادسة والنصف، صباح يوم الأحد، وذلك بسبب عمليات المراجعة التي استمرت عدة مرات.
وعن الأوراق المسربة، والتي تم تداولها عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ''فيسبوك وتويتر''، قال بجاتو في تصريحات لبرنامج ''العاشرة مساءاً'' المذاع على فضائية ''دريم'': ''وجدنا ورقة على الفيسبوك توضح فوز شفيق في لجنه عامة، وخسارة مرسي في تلك اللجنة، على عكس المعلومات لدينا، فوجدناها مجرد فوتوشوب''.

ساد موقع التواصل الاجتماعي تويتر حالة من ''الشيزوفرينيا'' الواضحة عقب ظهور مؤشرات أولية تشير لتقدم مرشح جماعة الاخوان المسلمين محمد مرسي، على منافسه الفريق احمد شفيق، فى جولة الإعادة بالانتخابات الرئاسية.
فقد سادت حالة من عدم الرضا عن مؤشرات فوز محمد مرسي، مع فرحة عامرة للكثيرين- فى الوقت ذاته - لهزيمة الفريق شفيق، وهو ما دعا كثيرين للتساؤل عن شعوره الحقيقي تجاه النتائج التي بدءت فى الظهور منذ فجر اليوم.
فقد قال باسم يوسف الاعلامي الساخر: '' سعيد بخسارة شفيق، غير متفائل بفوز مرسي، ايه كمية الامراض النفسية اللي جتلنا في السنة دي؟''.

Data analyzed by News Group, the region’s leading media intelligence group, shows that voting in Egypt today and tomorrow will conclude in a run-off between Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Morsy and the independent Islamist candidate Abdel Monem Aboul Fotouh.

Twitter is now six years away from that first 140 characters-or-less tweet from co-founder Jack Dorsey: “Just setting up my twttr.” Back then the company had just 5 employees exactly six years ago yesterday. Now there are more than 800 and they aim to have 1,000 by the end of the year. It took three years, two months and one day to reach a billion tweets on the site. In 2011, 60 billion tweets were sent out.
They have more than 100 million users right now (though Facebook has more than 800 million).
