فقد قال اللواء إسماعيل عتمان- عضو المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة، في مداخلة هاتفية مع برنامج "الحياة اليوم" على تلفزيون الحياة، إن الشريط الذي تم تداوله على مواقع شبكة الانترنت بخصوص وجوده داخل غرفة التحكم أثناء إذاعة البيان، كان لضمان إذاعة الشريط، مؤكدًا أنه لم يعرف أحد على الإطلاق ما كان يحتويه ذلك الشريط إلا بعد إذاعته، حتى رئيس قطاع الأخبار عبد اللطيف المناوي.
وأشار عتمان إلى أن القوات المسلحة ليس لها علاقة بتسريب شريط الفيديو الخاص بكواليس إعلان بيان التنحي. كما أنه هو الذي كان مسئولاً عن تصوير بيان التنحي داخل وحدة عسكرية، وكان الشريط بالنسبة له مهمة يجب إتمامها، وإن تواجده داخل غرفة التحكم بمنى التلفزيون بصفته مدير الشئون المعنوية ومسئول مسئوليه كاملة عن بيان التنحي، مؤكدًا أن هذا دليل على أهمية الحدث وحرص القوات المسلحة الشديد على مصر.

قال الإعلامى يسرى فودة، إن مسيرته الإعلامية أثرت على جزء من حياته الخاصة فى ظل انشغاله بالعمل، وتنقله الدائم من مناطق حروب إلى مناطق منكوبة، ومن بلد إلى آخر، وهو ما جعله فى حالة من عدم الاستقرار، ومن ثم لم يتسن له الزواج، مشيرا إلى أن المسئولين عن قناة الجزيرة كانوا يكرهون النظام المصرى السابق، وكانت هناك خلافات علنية بين وزراء خارجية البلدين.

CAIRO: Africa Railways, a platform capital of Cairo-based private equity firm Citadel Capital, announced today that its portfolio company Rift Valley Railway (RVR) of Kenya and Uganda acquired $164 million in financing. Six global development finance institutions and a Kenyan bank agreed to finance the company with a five-year capital expenditure package to “rehabilitate infrastructure and rolling stock,” Africa Railways announced in a statement.
The funds will back a $287 million capex program that will help accelerate the pace at which RVR rehabilitates its infrastructure.

Mubarak's first major attempt to squash the revolution was turning off Egypt's internet on Jan 28. This was shortly followed by an escalation of violence, and Cairo turning into a battleground between the revolutionaries and pro-regime thugs. What happened when the internet went down, and the future of Egypt hung in the balance?
The answer seems to be that the shutoff certainly had a large impact, but it wasn't nearly enough to disrupt the overall network.

CAIRO—In the weeks since Egypt's uprising, the television airwaves and Cairo's streets have been filled with revolutionary slogans.

"Build your country!" shout billboards hovering over this city's dense thoroughfares. "Develop your country!" urges another over smaller text demanding that Egyptians "Don't stop!"

But the signs aren't the work of revolutionaries. They are advertisements for Snicker's, the candy brand owned by Mars Inc., the U.S.-based confectioner.
