The Ontario International Film Festival, ONIFF
With the new year
comes new resolutions, and the Canada Multicultural Entertainment non- profit organization is resolving to promote, and
nurture the development of film and television in Canada.
The film
festival will run from Oct. 19 to Oct. 22, 2020. The entry date for completed film
submissions will open February 24
and close June 30th . Categories for domestic and international
films include: feature, short and documentary films of all genres. As well as student projects. The criteria for
film submission are detailed FilmFreeway website,
ONIFF is destined
to become a pioneer and catalyst for developing more talent and opportunities
for future filmmakers in Ontario, and particularly those with diverse
backgrounds or the marginalized.
The film
festival will allow producers to network and meet with filmmakers, ONIFF, encourage diversity and provide the opportunity
for people from different backgrounds to work together.
The founder and president of this non-profit organization and
festival Rasha Asfur and Elaine Grant, the Co-founder and the executive Director,
will address the goals and objectives of this multi-faceted film festival at
the official launching.
The official launch
will be followed by a question and answer period, lunch, and a
social networking session.
