The International Center for Journalists and Ford Foundation cordially invite you to a reception and panel discussion on
Covering Egypt: The Media and the Revolution
Tahrir Square, February 1, 2011
In Egypt, all the new tools in the digital media revolution came into play. From Al Jazeera's deep coverage to citizen journalists posting photos on Facebook, the world received a vivid picture of what was happening on the ground despite the government attempt to shut down the Internet. His remarks will be followed by a panel discussion with distinguished experts on the media scene in Egypt.
