Video: BBC Social Media Summit session on technology, innovation and social traffic data

The rise of digital reading habits and interpersonal social channels is revolutionising news publishing. To what extent was the subject of a fascinating presentation by Nic Newman, former BBC Loading... Future Media & Technology controller, at the BBC College of Journalism’s Social Media Summit on Friday.
This was the most interesting panel of the day from a practical, professional publishing perspective and I also recommend the conversation between the two Marks – Little, of Storyful, and Rock, of Audioboo – after Nic’s presentation. Are big media groups unable to innovate technologically?
