أمر النائب العام المستشار الدكتور عبد المجيد محمود، بحبس أنس الفقى، وزير الإعلام السابق، 15 يوما على ذمة التحقيقات التى جرت معه فى قضية منحه القنوات الخاصة حق بث مباريات كرة القدم بالدورى المصرى من التليفزيون المصرى مجانا.
خلال التحقيقات التى استمرت أكثر من 5 ساعات متواصلة وباشرها المستشار محمد عبد السلام، رئيس نيابة الأموال العامة العليا، بإشراف المستشار على الهوارى، المحامى العام الأول لنيابة الأموال العامة العليا، أنكر وزير الإعلام السابق التهم الموجهة إليه.
كان سامى الشريف، رئيس اتحاد الإذاعة والتلفزيون، تقدم ببلاغ إلى نيابة الأموال العامة ضد القنوات الرياضية الخاصة بامتناعها عن سداد 2 مليون دولار قيمة حق البث لمباريات كرة القدم.
