The Financial Inclusion Global Initiative (FIGI) Hackathon aims at developing innovative ICT applications to bridge the financial inclusion gap. The hackathon will take place on 21 and 22 January 2019 at the venue of the FIGI Symposium (Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski Cairo), and is expected to run overnight.
Participants will have one-and-a-half days to complete their projects, however the hacking will start off site starting the 14th of January. The topic of the FIGI Hackathon: “Enabling Financial Inclusion with Open and Common APIs for Merchant Payments”
Venue: Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski Hotel, First Settlement, Ring Road, 11477 Cairo, Egypt
Application Criteria:
-Must apply as teams of 3-5 participants
-Only 15 teams will be accepted to participate
-Must include coders to develop the applications

1st Place: $6,000
2nd Place: $3,000
3rd Place: $2,000
