HERITAGE - The Egyptian Culture in Spoken Language (English and French Edition

The book (Volume 1) is a collection of spicy expressions which are part   of the daily Egyptian spoken language intended to mirror the soul of the   Egyptian culture. Those expressions combine the whimsical with the profound   and each is written in Arabic, in phonatic Arabic, in French and in English,   translated literally and figuratively and organized in 76 topics such as :   audacity, despair, food, animals, family...
The book is encyclopedic in its   scope and should delight the reader.

As received :
am writing to let you know how much I am enjoying the book. C'est un bijou ! The mix of phonetic Arabic, French and English must have been a tremendous work. What immense pleasure you will bring to so many people. I am one of them. When I read a line in phonetic, within seconds I manage to decode it and I can hear the actual saying come alive in my head through the voice of my mom and it reminds me of my dad. Rarely has a book made me smile and laugh so much. It is a celebration of our culture and a wonderful way of keeping it alive

What is said about the book
The spoken word is a bearer of culture. Common expressions in daily use   by ordinary people are not only the means by which they communicate with each   other, but are the essential elements of a society bound together in time and   place. With passage of time, a new generation of idioms and colloquialisms   displaces the old. Yet, thought displaced, these timebound layers of language   are nonetheless important remnants of culture - part of cultural heritage   worth preserving.

I can see   myself spending many, many delightful hours flavoring its wonderful content.   It goes to show how important and popular the topic is. I cannot express   express how great the book is !
