Print Send Safwat El-Sherif, former secretary-general of the National Democratic Party (NDP) was sentenced to 15 days in prison, pending further investigation.
El-Sherif was questioned earlier today by the Authority of Illicit Profiteering in the Ministry of Justice. El-Sherif, who was also former speaker of the Upper House, is accused of profiteering and illegally accumulating his wealth.
