في إطار الجدل الثائر، والصراع المحموم بين أنصار الرئيس السابق، ومعارضيه، قرر مجموعة من مؤيدي حسني مبارك تدشين اول موقع الكتروني اخباري خاص به أطلقوا عليه اسم ''المؤامرة'' ، وقناة تبث من على النت أسموها '' مبارك والناس'' للدفاع عنه وعن أسرته ضد ما وصفوه بحملات الظلم وتشويه صورته بعد الثورة.

Set the tone for public debate .. Media Set the tone for public debate .. The media just as we need today in Egypt to control the performance of government in a manner to convince the government and citizens to effectively clear political vision, we need to strongly control the public debate in line with the issues and challenges of the current transitional phase. The responsibility here lies with the media with the key role in shaping the preferences of citizens and citizens with an interest in public affairs and political issues.

ضبط إيقاع النقاش العام.. إعلاميًّا  تماما كما نحتاج اليوم فى مصر إلى ضبط إيقاع الأداء الحكومى على نحو يقنع المواطن بفاعلية الحكومة ووضوح رؤيتها السياسية، نحتاج وبشدة إلى ضبط إيقاع النقاش العام بما يتواءم مع قضايا وتحديات المرحلة الانتقالية الراهنة. والمسئولية هنا ملقاة على عاتق وسائل الإعلام ذات الدور الرئيسى فى صياغة تفضيلات المواطنات والمواطنين ذوى الاهتمام بالشأن العام والسياسى.

لم يعد مقبولا أن تركز وسائل الإعلام على قضايا الإثارة المرتبطة بالمرحلة الراهنة وتهمش المهام السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والأمنية الكبرى للعمل الوطنى. على إثارتها، لا تمثل التحقيقات مع آل مبارك ورموز النظام القديم بتطوراتها خلال الساعات الأخيرة إلا مستوى من مستويات المساءلة والمحاسبة القانونية على الفساد المالى وانتهاكات حقوق الإنسان وتعذيب وقتل المصريين التى ارتكبها نظام مبارك خلال العقود الماضية.
