وزير الإعلام يستقبل السفير البريطانى لبحث التعاون الإعلامى

استقبل أسامة هيكل، وزير الإعلام، بمكتبه السفير البريطانى فى القاهرة جيمس وات لبحث سبل التعاون فى مجال التدريب للإعلاميين المصريين من الشباب، لرفع المهارات وزيادة القدرات على التحقق والتزام المعايير المهنية فى تقديم الخدمة الإعلامية. أكد "وات" خلال اللقاء أن بلاده تسعى بالتعاون مع مصر فى مجال الإعلام والمساعدة فى التحول لنظام ديمقراطى حقيقى. وأشار هيكل إلى التعاون المتواصل بين اتحاد الإذاعة والتليفزيون المصرى ومحطة بى بى سى البريطانية، وأعرب عن أمله فى توسيع نطاق هذا التعاون خاصة فى ظل التحولات الديمقراطية التى تشهدها مصر بعد ثورة 25 يناير، وانطلاقاً من الرؤية الخاصة لتحويل الإعلام الرسمى المصرى من خدمة النظام إلى خدمة الدولة المصرية بكل عناصرها، وتحقيقاً لمبدأ الشفافية وعدم الانحياز لطرف على حساب طرف أو الأطراف الأخرى فى الدولة المصرية.

Prime Minister, Dr. Essam Sharaf received the British Ambassador to Cairo James Watt, extended wishes to the Ambassador in his new mission and expressed appreciation for supporting the Egyptian revolution, and UK’s support to Egypt at the international level and in global forums as G8, or at the bilateral level as UK tops the western countries investment’s in Egypt amounting to USD 20 billion. Dr. Essam confirmed the Egyptian government keenness on enforcing rights of 25th January revolution at the political, economic and social side. He presented current preparations on carrying the parliamentary and presidential elections over the coming period. From another side, the British Ambassador confirmed his country’s readiness to stand with Egypt to successfully pass such historical phase, adding that UK is one of the first countries which stated the democratic and peaceful transition importance in Egypt, and will encourage other EU partners to positively deal with Egypt’s economic demands until overcoming the current phase. The guest presented some cooperation projects existed between the two countries topped by the British-Egyptian partnership initiative, where Britain provided finance amounting to EGP 110 million sterling over four years directed to the political and economic reform, beside the English education upgrade in Egypt and supporting Nile school project.
